General Questions About Our Service
| What is the goal of your program? |
Na’aleh aims to provide Jewish individuals of all ages and diverse backgrounds an opportunity to watch and learn from stimulating online Torah and Jewish video classes and shiruim, and to share ideas and ideals with others, in order to grow stronger in their service of G-d . |
| How is Naaleh unique and different from other Jewish websites or nonprofits? |
While there are other Jewish websites focused on Jewish education, we feel some of our features and services are unique:
Video, not audio, classes. You will be able to see your teachers, not just hear them. Of course, we also have mp3 files available to download onto your iPod or other mp3 device, as well as video downloads available for iPod video players.
Interact with other students in our interactive, group classes. We are the only Torah education site that facilitates group learning sessions. This means that you're watching the class with peers from all around the world. You can discuss classes and even submit your questions for teachers to answer in the next class!
Viewing anytime. Watch the shiur online anytime after it has been broadcast. Missed a class? Want to watch one again? No problem. Members have 24/7 access to our Torah classes online at our website:www.naaleh.com.

| How can I help support Na'aleh? |
Na'aleh is a free service and we rely completely on donations. Students are encouraged to donate any amount they can afford in order to ensure the continuity of our site and to help support all our wonderful lecturers and staff. We are a registered US non-profit dedicated to helping Jewish causes (our parent organization has been in existence for over 20 years) and we would love your support. | What kind of Internet connection, computer and software do I need in order to be able to view and participate in the on-line Jewish classes? |
Our live Torah video courses are optimized for users with broadband Internet connections such as Cable and DSL. Our archived content, however, is accessible to users with lesser connection speeds, but the classes may take some time to download.
We recommend that our users have at least the equivalent of a Pentium II at 600mhz or higher. Our site is optimized for users running Internet Explorer 6 and 7, although it should also work on Firefox 1.5 and above. We try to make sure that the site works in Safari as well, but your mileage may vary. Please let us know if you experience any rendering or functionality problems in your internet browsers.
To view the videos, we require that you have Flash 8 or higher installed. The Flash player is a free download, so please click the button below to install: (Be sure to follow the instructions carefully to ensure that everything goes smoothly. If it doesn't appear to install immediately, you may need to reboot your computer to complete the installation.)
