I am always awed when I hear about Sarah Schenirer and the start of Beis Yaacov but what really inspired me while watching this shiur was the story of the Chofetz Chaim and that he had the courage to change his mind about something he felt so strongly.

That is one of the hallmarks of a gadol and in fact Rabbi Teller elaborates in a different shiur on humility as one of the main qualities that make a person a gadol.
