Rav Shlomo Zalman detested honor yet he used his honor when it could help people. For example: he shopped in the widow's wine store so others would patronize the store; he told the young orphan to tell his friends that Rabbi Aurbach had called; he told the disabled boy (in the previous shiur) what a big rabbi he was.

What inspired you?

The fact that he was so great in Torah and still could lower himself to talk to a poor woman and even reprimand a great Torah scholar who was accompanying him for interrupting him.
