What does it take to move to a foreign place (with a different level of religiosity) with little knowledge of where one’s income will come from?


I would think it takes a lot of emunah and bitachon and courage to make such a move. However, since Rav Shach was going to Eretz Yisrael and took the incident in the post office as a sign from heaven, it probably made the move easier. Many people note the special siyata d'shmaya of living in Eretz Yisrael and how not knowing where ones parnassah will come from somehow reinacts the situation of the Jews in the midbar. A potent lesson in bitachon...
