Wow, true giving has nothing to do with filling an empty space. It should be a result of simcha, not vice versa. How enlightening, no? It always seemed to me that giving should not be to fill one's own emotional need alone, but now we learned that the desire to give comes from an overflowing of gratitude for what Hashem gives us. Wow!
