When taking the quiz for this class, one question was about the fact that eating without limitations is not idol worship.  But the need to eat that way, can very easily be a foreign power in a person "anger" and it is a form of destruction.  It's horrible for the body, your connection to Hashem, it shortens your life, etc.  I'm curious as to why that action would not be considered idol worship.
