As initially negative thoughts enter ones mind, we have the ability to actively 'switch gears' and replace these thoughts with positive thought processes.  Write about a circumstance where one takes control of their own thought process and does not allow their negative thoughts to take control of them

Neither the pursuit of Shalom nor the avoidance of Machlokes are passive, that's how challenging achieving shalom is.

waiting on line at the supermarket can be extremely frustrating.  I was once griping to a friend in line behind me, when she said 'imagine it we had no local supermarket and needed to go to the next neighborhood every time we wanted to shop'.  All of a sudden I was so thankful that I had the convenience of a full supermarket in walking distance to my home!  So, by looking at how things could be more difficult, and not taking things for granted, my thought process changed immediately.

When someone says or does something hurtful, trying to judge favorably not only makes us less angry at the other person, it also helps you calm down and makes us less hurt.
