I took a look on the men's message board and found this question asked by Moderator on this weeks shiur:

In the shiur we mentioned that the ברכות התורה are recited only once a day since there is no היסח הדעת from Torah learning - One doesn’t take his mind off the study of Torah even when he becomes involved in  other activities.
Can you think of other aspects in our lives, as Jews, which should be constantly present in our consciousness?

I think that the biggest thing and ultimately the only thing a Jew needs to keep at forefront of his/her mind at all times is Hashem (Seviti Hashem lnegdi Tamid) If one really manages to keep Hashem at the forefront everything else will follow. But since we are not all at the level to always have Hashem at the forefront of our thoughts we often have to make an effort to have something else their such as a particular midda or halacha.

I once went to a shiur were the rav said that he had heard another Rav say that we should live as if the Mishna Breura is always right in front of us. The Rav said he thought that was very wrong, we should live as if Hashem was always right before us. One way we do that is by following the Mishna Brura.
