It was always a question in my mind why in ashkenazie tradition a man does not wear a tallis when praying until he is married.  It was  beautiful imagery that Shira Smiles told us that when he is married  his tallis is esternal and larger to include that fact that he has a family and must include them in his prayers.  Our clothes are also important to remind us that we can overcome temptations.
