I tried Rabbi Wolpe's suggestion for trying to elevate the physical and spiritual together.  When I bit into my challah (which I kneaded and baked with many tefillot) I tried to eat that first kazayit like I was experiencing Olam Haba.  I concentrated on enjoying the physical challah with our spiritual Shabbos.  It was very special.  However, I always find that maintaining that feeling is an ongoing challenge!

I thought this class was very interesting and was wonderful in giving a focus to Shabbos.  I appreciated the idea that Shabbos is a time to return to our inner essence, and that we "receive our crown" on Shabbos.  I especially appreciated the "action" part of the idea when Mrs. Smiles said that we should feel our faces aglow like Moshe and to focus on how I can be truer to myself on Shabbos, to not be as angry on Shabbos, etc.  It's an amazing focus and I really appreciate this class.

Thank you.
