According to the Torah in Parshat Balak, a good eyed people are the disciples of Avraham Avenu. A person can be involved in chesed all day, but if he or she has an evil eye he/she will not benefit from this chesed and the next world. If chesed comes out of selfishness then it is not true chesed. We must try to be like Avraham Avenu and do chesed completely for others. Available online in streaming video.
