A proper Hashkafa explains what a "jewish Spring" is!

Brilliant class! Rav Hirsh's commentary on the deeper connection between spring and Pesach was so beautiful. Often we think that the ultimate state of happiness is dependent on circumstances when in fact it is entirely in the mind. It reminds me of a story Reb. Heller once said in another Naaleh class, Women and Feminisim. When the Russian refusnik, Natan Sharansky, crossed the bridge to freedom the media asked him, “How does it feel to be free?” He answered, “I was always free.” There are countless stories of Jews throughout history who went through unspeakable horrors yet emerged stronger in their faith. This as Reb. Kohn explains is the power of spring -the indomitable emunah that has sustained the Jewish people throughout the long years of exile.
