"The Ability of the Jew to live in the world of טבע and at the same time connect to Hashem and view everything through that prism"- This applies especially to women, who are so busy with the technical details of the upcoming holidays. Thank you!!

This idea of connecting to Hashem through teva very much personified Esther. All the years that she was in the palace of Achashveirosh she maintained her deep connection with Hashem and did not get lost in the hedonism and materialism surrounding her. In other class, Reb. Heller explains -In the megilah it says that on the third day Esther put on the clothing of malchus. The Gemara says malchus is ruach hakodesh. Every desire she had to use any of the gifts she had was transcended above the limitations of this world and focused on Hashem’s will. The more a person defines himself this way and the more he wants to give himself over to Hashem, the more Hashem will give him the kind of clarity Esther achieved.

The Rebbetzin starts this class with an important message about the greatness of each individual person and therefore Haman's insistence that he destroy all of Klal Yisrael and a great story from WWII. It made me think of the "war" we are in now. Which is clearly an assault on the individual. Almost hand to hand combat. As individual arabs attack individual people.
