Ten Commandments
The aseret hadibrot (ten commandments) are a fundamental aspect of Judaism. The Ramban explains how all the 613 mitzvot are contained within them. There is a custom brought down in the Shulchan Aruch to recite the Ten Commandments everyday on one's own. The siddur of the Shela HaKadosh says that one should have in mind the Ten Commandments when saying Shema.
